Privacy Policy – Designed for Hire

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, create and account or subscribe to an advertising package from designedforhire.com (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

How we handle information provided by Subscribers to our Advertising Packages (Suppliers of Hire Equipment & Services)

Your payment information is handled via Stripe. Please view Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. The interface between Stripe and Designed For Hire is InstaPayments, a third-party partner of Stripe. Instapayments provides the software that allows our Subscribers to view and amend their billing information and download invoices.

Data Handling Specific to Users of the Site
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and the information you provide when requesting quotes, or setting up Mood Boards.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Information that we collect generally to fulfill any requests for quotes placed through the Site and to retain custom Mood Boards for your personal use. Additionally, we use this Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Provide your quotation request to the Suppliers you selected
- Screen our site for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
- Note that a quotation request is sent in its entirety to all Suppliers in the Quote Basket. If a chair is chosen from one Supplier and added to the Quote basket, and a table is added from a different Supplier to the same Quote Basket, both suppliers will see both items. The reason for this, is that we want Site Users to experience an efficient and value for money service. Suppliers generally don't publish all their products to this Site. If Suppliers can fulfill more requirements in the Quote basket, this is likely to result in transportation and cost savings to the Site User.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We use Device and Personal Information to deliver targeted and re-targeted advertising on marketing and social media channels, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Linkedin and Google Display Adwords.

We use Mailchimp to hold personal data of Site Users and Subscribers to Advertising Packages. We only use this data to communicate with you, if you have opted-in to receiving marketing information from us.
